Undergraduate Program
Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
Our flagship undergraduate program provides comprehensive architectural education covering design fundamentals, building technology, environmental systems, and professional practice. The curriculum includes extensive studio work, technical subjects, and humanities courses that prepare students for diverse architectural careers.
- 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) — minimum 50% marks
- Valid NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) score
- JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch) score accepted
- Age limit: Maximum 25 years (relaxation for reserved categories)
Postgraduate Programs
M.Arch (Sustainable Architecture)
Advanced program focusing on sustainable design practices, green building technologies, energy-efficient systems, and environmental impact assessment. Prepares architects for the growing demand in sustainable construction and eco-friendly design solutions.
- B.Arch degree from recognized university — minimum 50% marks
- Valid GATE (Architecture and Planning) score
- Portfolio submission showcasing design work

M.Arch (Landscape Architecture)
Specialized program in landscape design, urban open spaces, ecological planning, and environmental restoration. Combines design skills with ecological knowledge for comprehensive landscape solutions in urban and rural contexts.

- GATE score in Architecture and Planning
- Knowledge of landscape design principles

M.Arch (Architectural Conservation)
Focused on heritage conservation, restoration techniques, historical building documentation, and cultural heritage management. Essential for preserving India's rich architectural legacy and developing expertise in conservation practices.

- GATE qualification in Architecture and Planning
- Interest in heritage and conservation work

Master of Building Engineering and Management (M.B.E.M)
Technical program emphasizing structural systems, construction management, building services, and project management. Ideal for those interested in the technical and engineering aspects of construction and building technology.
- B.Arch or B.Tech (Civil) — minimum 50% marks
- GATE score in relevant discipline
- Basic understanding of structural engineering
- Interest in construction technology and management
Master of Urban Design (M.U.D)
Comprehensive urban design program covering city planning, urban morphology, transportation planning, and metropolitan development strategies for sustainable urban growth and smart city initiatives.
- B.Arch or B.Planning — minimum 50% marks
- GATE score in Architecture and Planning
- Understanding of urban planning principles

Master of Design (M.Des)
An intensive two-year program designed to nurture visionary creators who redefine how people interact with the world. Integrates design thinking, emerging technologies, and innovation through specialized pathways: Interaction Design, Industrial & Product Design, Communication & Visual Design, Learning Experience Design (LxD), and Automobile & Mobility Design.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Design, or Fine Arts with a valid CEED score.
- Minimum 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks for General / OBC / EWS candidates.
- Minimum 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks for SC / ST / PH candidates.
Doctoral Program (PhD)
SPA Vijayawada's PhD program in Architecture and Planning, established in 2012–13, offers opportunities for advanced research in various disciplines related to the built environment. Our doctoral program emphasizes original research contributions and scholarly excellence.
Currently, we have 14 active PhD scholars working on diverse research topics including sustainable architecture, urban planning, heritage conservation, building technology, and environmental design. Our research facilities and experienced faculty provide excellent support for doctoral candidates.

Important Information
- Application Period: Usually opens in April–May for the next academic year
- Entrance Exams: NATA (for B.Arch), GATE (for Masters), University entrance (for PhD)
