Programme Objectives

The key objective is to prepare students for professional practice in Architecture. As an undergraduate programme, it has broad scope, providing exposure to a variety of interests and assisting students to discover their own directions for further development.

The programme aims to attain excellence in Architectural Design. The design course is the core of the programme, supported by courses in Humanities, Technology, and Professional streams—built on strong foundations in communications and data processing. Emphasis is placed on developing faculties of discernment and decision-making.

Programme Objectives

The key objective is to equip students with fundamental aspects and specialised techniques of spatial planning ranging from neighbourhood to regional planning. The curriculum imparts basic skills in settlement patterns, growth, and design—preparing students for careers in planning, development, and management agencies in the public sector as well as private consultancy organisations.

The programme is multi-disciplinary, drawing from city planning, architecture, engineering, geography, economics, sociology, management, and law. Adequate emphasis is given to practical and lab-oriented design exercises, enabling learning by doing.

Programme Objectives

The programme develops skills, knowledge and understanding related to environmental sustainability, construction and building technology—adopting principles of sustainable building design while responding to challenges such as climate change and environmental degradation.

Study moves from broad aspects of Man and Environment, energy and climate zones, through alternative materials and technologies, urban sustainability issues, to energy and environmental assessment. Topics include Waste management, Intelligent buildings, Eco cities, and Passive & Active solar strategies. Students are encouraged to challenge orthodoxies and explore cultural and technical responses to a changing world.

Programme Objectives

The programme develops an overall understanding of landscape design and related aspects including history of landscape architecture, contemporary landscapes, environmental/ecological issues, geological/drainage patterns, watershed, and hydrological principles. The curriculum also covers natural, cultural, and social systems that affect design decisions, as well as the language and literature of landscape architecture.

Programme Objectives

The objective is to develop a deeper understanding of cultural heritage and its association with integral development of settlements. The programme provides comprehensive and integrated conservation management, equipping students with adequate skills to comprehend various aspects that determine heritage in all contexts.

The course provides necessary exposure to various approaches in understanding, assessing, and making necessary interventions of heritage components ranging from archaeological sites to urban settings.

Programme Objectives

This programme enables students to acquire knowledge in state-of-the-art construction techniques and related topics such as Materials, Construction finance, Quality management, Contracting, Safety and legal issues, Value engineering, Organisation, Human resource management, Advanced technologies, and Operational Research.

It emphasises the importance of today's construction needs for a rewarding management career in the infrastructure Construction Industry.

Students explore contemporary urban challenges and develop innovative solutions integrating design thinking with planning and development strategies.
